Young Norfolk Arts is dedicated to fostering creativity and cultural engagement among children and young individuals throughout Norfolk. Our organization serves as a platform for them to explore, express, and connect with various forms of artistic expression.
Central to our mission is the annual Young Norfolk Arts Festival (YNAF), an eagerly anticipated event that showcases the talents and creativity of young people across Norfolk. This festival serves as a vibrant celebration of artistic expression, featuring performances, exhibitions, workshops, and interactive activities that captivate audiences of all ages. Through YNAF, we aim to not only celebrate the accomplishments of young artists but also to inspire and empower them to pursue their passions in the arts.
In addition to the festival, we administer the Young Norfolk Visual Arts (YNVA) program and exhibition. This initiative provides a platform for young visual artists to showcase their work, gain recognition, and connect with peers and professionals in the industry. Through YNVA, we strive to nurture emerging talent, encourage experimentation, and promote a vibrant visual arts scene in Norfolk.
Complementing these initiatives is the Young Norfolk Arts Collective (YNAC), a dynamic volunteer group comprising individuals aged 16 to 25 who share a passion for the arts and creative industries. Whether they aspire to pursue a career in the arts or simply enjoy engaging in creative pursuits as a hobby, members of YNAC play a vital role in shaping the cultural landscape of Norfolk. Through their involvement in various projects, events, and initiatives, they contribute fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and boundless enthusiasm to our organization.
